Bombs and Vibes: Trump Attacks Iran Without a Clue
Marco Rubio says intelligence isn’t necessary—and apparently, neither is sanity. America’s on the brink, and it's being steered by egos, not evidence.
This weekend, the world moved closer to catastrophe.
Today, Iran has launched counterstrikes against U.S. air bases in Qatar, and in response, Qatar has shut down its airspace. The escalation comes just days after Donald Trump ordered the bombing of Iran’s Fordo nuclear facility with 12 bunker-busting bombs—a move made with no confirmed intelligence and zero global consensus.
According to a bombshell report from The New York Times, Trump acted not out of strategic necessity but based on how Israel’s assault on Iran was playing out on Fox News. Let that sink in: The President of the United States may have dragged the U.S. into a full-scale regional war to win a news cycle and distract from his plunging popularity.
Even members of his own administration were caught off guard. Tulsi Gabbard, his National Security Director, had just posted a video to social media warning there was no credible evidence that Iran was building up its nuclear program. She followed it with a somber three-minute reflection on her visit to Hiroshima, reminding Americans of the devastating, real-world stakes of a nuclear winter. That message was ignored.
Meanwhile, Trump contradicted his own Vice President and Secretary of Defense, who publicly stated that regime change in Iran was not the goal. But in true Trumpian fashion, he took to social media and said—maybe it should be. And just like that, the war drums got louder.
And to make it all more grotesque, he signed off with “MIGA”—Make Iran Great Again.
Domestic Cruelty on Display
While Trump’s foreign policy is playing Russian roulette with global stability, his domestic policy is equally unhinged—and devastatingly violent.
In a horrifying incident caught on video, Narisco Barranco, an IHOP landscaper and father of three U.S. Marines, was publicly beaten by alleged ICE agents. There was no warrant, no transparency, and no justification—only brute force. The footage sparked immediate outrage, protests, and renewed demands to end the culture of unaccountable enforcement terrorizing immigrant communities.
This isn’t just about ICE. It’s about a larger system where authoritarian logic is becoming normalized—where fear, not justice, drives state action.
Islamophobia at Home and Abroad
The same Islamophobia that fuels Trump’s foreign policy is also infecting local elections.
In New York, mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is facing a flood of racist, anti-Muslim attack ads, funded in part by a war chest linked to Andrew Cuomo and his billionaire allies. The same Cuomo who was forced out of office in disgrace is now quietly backing candidates and policies that reflect the worst impulses of the post-9/11 surveillance state.
We’re watching political repression in real time—both internationally and on the block.
One Bright Spot
But in this bleak news cycle, one story offered a glimmer of hope: Mahmoud Khalil, a beloved organizer and activist, was released from an unlawful detention after 104 days. Within hours of his release, he returned to the streets—marching, chanting, refusing to be broken.
His resilience reminds us: even when the empire flexes its most violent muscles, our movements don’t disappear—they reorganize.
This Is the Fight of Our Lives
Donald Trump is playing with global fire to stay relevant and deflect from his collapsing credibility. But we aren’t powerless. This moment demands clarity, resistance, and collective action.
Because if we don’t fight back—if we don’t stop normalizing wars launched on vibes and ego—we won’t just lose our democracy. We’ll lose our future.

You two speaking truth is what makes this glow in the dark GenX woman watch you. If I'm sometimes uncomfortable, all the better to make me look at why.
My reasons for not wanting war are probably different than some, because I'm a lifelong pacifist. But the end result is the same. I'm absolutely sick about the innocent people who are going to suffer and die in the Middle East because we have an idiot in the White House. Our soldiers, Iranians, Israelis, Palestinians, and on and on.
I will say that Mahmoud Khalil is my hero right now!! I would love to shake his hand.
This ICE-related nonsense currently playing itself out is a disaster but the anonymous nature of it’s operations will end in REAL disaster. People are going to be killed by vigilantes who know they’re ultimately sanctioned by the criminal masquerading as the President of the United States of America.
