It’s hard to trust the Democrats in positions of power now. They have all been feckless and outplayed at every turn by the MAGA GOP. A new party is not the answer though. What needs to happen is what David Hogg and others have proposed and that is the primarying of Democrats who are not acting in the best interests of the people, primarily the base of the Party. We need progressive fighters who are not scared to take the fight to the GOP, who are not afraid to stand up for minorities and immigrants, who are not in the pocket of big money players or AIPAC - fighters like the Squad, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost etc. Democrats need to take the Party back from the weak and ineffectual electeds like Schumer, Slotkin, Gillibrand, Jeffries and all of those who voted for the Laken Riley Act or who voted to censure Rashida Tlaib (and have said nothing about the genocide in Gaza) and Al Greene (for standing up for people whose suffering has been sealed by the passing of the Bullshit Billionaire Bonanza Bill.
Danielle, I too do not trust the Democrats. They had almost 3 months to prepare if they hadn’t seen the ‘writing on the wall’ and/ or speaking of Strategists, why didn’t Strategists strategize what would be done by the Party if, God forbid, Harris lost.
I agree everyone is being manipulated…,
or let’s change that, those in charge are ‘trying to manipulate us’. Thank goodness if seldom followed others… ever since a child… I beat my own drum. I was considered difficult, obstinate, eccentric. It’s been exhausting at times, but energizing at the same time.
Mamdani hopefully will win… the world needs more people to believe in themselves. If one is looking for false friendships, false promises and bad intentions then continue on the path towards destruction… let’s hope not.
I'm not hoping for a breaking apart. I'm hoping, vainly perhaps, that there can be a coming together with the realization that a more progressive future is the only way to address the serious problems we face. Danielle's breaking apart means that the left will be fragmented and powerless.
We need a new party .Rank voting and a new party would go a long wat to eliminating Gerrymandering!
Something tells me that you have been watching Dr. Richard Wolff’s YouTube video The Decline Of The American 🇺🇸 Empire,Danielle, am I right?

Thank you! Well said
