Trump’s Epstein Obsession: A Masterclass in Fascist Diversion

Why Trump’s Attacks on Obama and Biden Are Desperate Cover for His Own Crimes—and a Threat to Democracy

Happy Wednesday, friends. You made it through another day under what increasingly feels like a fascist regime. That’s no small thing.

The breaking news today is staggering:
The Wall Street Journal—yes, Murdoch’s own mouthpiece—is reporting that the DOJ informed Donald Trump back in May that his name appears multiple times in the Epstein files.

That’s right. While Trump flails around screaming “witch hunt,” releasing MLK files as distraction, and ranting about Obama staging a coup, the real reason for the chaos is now clear: he’s trying to bury the Epstein story. And failing.

The Teflon Is Peeling

According to the Journal, DOJ officials briefed Trump at the White House. His name—along with many others—shows up repeatedly in Epstein’s documents. So many times, in fact, that they had to track them using Excel spreadsheets.

And while the DOJ insists these mentions don’t imply wrongdoing—let’s not be naïve. If Trump’s name appeared only a few times, why the spreadsheets? Why the secrecy?

Trump has spent years stoking conspiracy theories about Democrats and Epstein. If he really had “the goods” on Biden, Clinton, or anyone else, he’d have weaponized that information long ago. But he hasn’t. Because exposing the truth would expose him too.

Trump’s Distraction Playbook: “Look Over There!”

Now that the Epstein story threatens to engulf him, Trump is throwing every distraction he can find at the wall. His favorite? Obama.

He’s claiming—with no evidence—that Obama and Hillary tried to overthrow the U.S. government. But even his own MAGA-stacked Supreme Court just ruled that presidents are immune for official acts. If Obama really committed sedition, why wasn’t he prosecuted before that decision?

Trump’s lie falls apart under its own weight. And the timing isn’t a coincidence. He’s trying to change the subject—because the subject is destroying him.

He’s Drowning in the Polls

A recent CNN report summed it up:
“The USS Donald Trump has taken on a lot of water.”

His approval has cratered:

  • Net approval: -11 (down nearly 20 points since January)

  • Epstein: -37

  • Foreign policy: -14

  • The economy: -14

  • Trade: -15

Even in swing states he narrowly won, like Michigan and Wisconsin, he’s underwater. The only president with a worse rating at this point in a term… was him, in his first presidency.

America sees through him now. And they don’t like what they’re seeing.

Meanwhile, a Threat to Our Democracy Grows

While distracting the public, Trump is quietly laying the groundwork to steal future elections.

His DOJ has demanded full voter rolls and election data from multiple states—ballots, voting equipment, the works. They’ve already threatened to cut funds from states that don’t comply. This isn’t about “election integrity.” It’s about purging voters and controlling outcomes.

They’re not hiding it anymore. They are coming for your vote.

And As We Look Away—Children Are Dying in Gaza

While Trump floods the zone with chaos, the world is watching another horror unfold: Israel is starving Gaza.

More than 22 children have died of starvation in recent days. At least 60,000 people have been killed. The Israeli government is turning food into a weapon—and doing it with U.S. funding and political cover.

This isn’t just a tragedy. It’s genocide. And the West’s response has been complicity cloaked in moral cowardice.

Brett Stephens of the New York Times wrote today that it’s not genocide—because it’s “only” 60,000 dead. Let that sink in. We are being gaslit into thinking mass death is somehow humane.

Our elected officials—Schumer, Jeffries, and others—continue to pose for photos with Netanyahu while children starve. That is who they are.

This Is What Genocide Looks Like

No spin. No justifications. When children are dying for lack of flour, and then being bombed when they try to get food, that is an atrocity. There is no debate.

Call your representatives. Call your senators. They’ve all gone home—because Mike Johnson shut down the House to avoid an Epstein vote. Call anyway.

We can’t let this genocide be carried out in our name.

Climate Justice: A Ray of Hope

Finally, some historic news:
The UN’s top court just ruled that failing to act on climate change may violate international law.

This opens the door for legal action, reparations, and accountability. And it affirms what so many of us already know: a clean, healthy planet is a human right.

This ruling is proof: change can happen. The tables can turn. The world is watching—and acting.

In the Face of All This: Don’t Give Up

Don’t let despair steal your agency.
If all you can do today is make a phone call—do it.
If all you can do is write a letter—write it.
If all you can do is speak the truth—speak it louder than ever.

Gaza is a mirror. It shows what the world is willing to tolerate. And if they can do it to Palestinians, trust—they can do it to us.

But evil doesn’t last forever. And silence, in the face of injustice, is not an option.

So get up. Keep fighting. Keep calling. Keep marching.
Because right now, somewhere in the world, a child is starving—and the people in power are saying it’s justified.

Never let that sit comfortably in your heart.
