Not one damned reporter/anchor will 'ask' a right wing politician now if THEIR rhetoric has caused this violence. There will be crickets. OR....'PLEASE don't provoke the right wing!"

It's tiring being called a Cassandra and I don't think Danielle and Waj take pleasure in being like, "We told you so." America, stand up for liberty, equality, and democracy. Don't let Donnie 2 Dolls and his Orange Regime win.

I enjoy the fact that you and Waj don’t candy coat the truth and call out ALL of people who talk some bullshit, like Hakeem Jeffries. Like what the fuck kind of response is “ we’ll address the issue ar a time and place of our choosing”. 😳 Huh?? WTAF

Hi Waj, I don't know if you found the quote but just in case...

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”

Truer words were never spoken.

I was a poor white in East Tennessee and I kept screaming that if it was “economic anxiety” that was the reason for working class whites voting for trump, why weren’t poor black people and poor latinos voting for trump??? Black people and brown people have had “economic anxiety” for several hundred years and yet, they didn’t vote for trump. And, how was the “economic anxiety” so much worse for non-college educated whites than college educated whites? It’s not like ALL college educated whites are flush with cash and set for life with no financial worries to speak of. It was about hate of minorities and fear. Always jas been and always will be.

Hi wajahat/Danielle

I watched your video twice. Wajahat, what you said about the brown immigrants/children of immigrants struck a chord with me. I too have family members and friends who have voted for this current administration (I am also a daughter of immigrant parents). It saddens me that our own community has overlooked all the horrible things this administration has done or will do because they think that it won’t impact them since they think that they have the “right” jobs or “right” degrees or live in the “right” neighborhoods. I am glad that I am not the only one who feels the same way you do. Yesterday, I watched the marches on tv and was happy to see that most of the people they interviewed had immigrant backgrounds. I hope more people will speak out more.

Thank you both for your passion. I will keep watching your videos.

When it comes to victimization, there are injustices that most Western media (i.e. news, literary, social and entertainment) seem to consider, cover or ignore as though those injustices are ideologically, socially and therefore politically acceptable.

They can be mostly credited for the creation and maintenance of current racial, sexual and gender social/political standards and even hypocrisies.

For example, anti-Caucasian racism or violence can be expected to not receive coverage by that neo-liberal mainstream news-media, in particular The New York Times and Washington Post, quite unlike when the victim is non-Caucasian. Their justification? Perhaps because they’ve deemed such occurrences as not being a social/societal problem and therefore news that’s un-fit to print.

According to my journalism instructor approximately three decades ago, the probable rarity of such an assault (in this case, anti-Caucasian racism or violence) would largely make it newsworthy; and the opposite would apply to the common or usual occurrence, such as that resulting from a recurring social/societal problem.

Such reporters and editors may feel they can be both truly objective/professional AND journalistically activistic; however, they cannot.
