I’ve always thought that Nancy Pelosi was a great leader, however, I think all of the older Democrats need to retire for the purpose of replacing them with younger, more energetic and honest replacements. That is the only way we could possibly win any elections in the future. Though, we still have the issue with the jerryrigged software that is currently used for all of our own machines in this country. I think we’ll have to go back to paper ballots to possibly get a legitimate ballot count.

I know. I have brown eyes and hair, probably that Spanish blood from my mom's side, even though my grandmother (also with Spanish blood) successfully registered as a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR). So being a well-rooted American isn't good enough for them!

I'm old myself (87), and I need to see the old Dems retire, along with any younger mainstream "on the one side, but on the other" types. The current leadership of the Dems seems devoted to staying in their jobs rather than doing anything useful. That disgraceful picture of mainstream Dems grinning along with Netanyahu turned my stomach. Trying to hide (in the photo too) behind a 25-hour speech won't cut it.

The way Pelosi tried to dismiss the Epstein issue by pushing for "bread and butter" issues is a central example of what has to change with the Democratic party.

If Kamala Harris decides to run again she should take a few tips from Zorhan Mamadani and just learn to be your authentic self. Right, Danielle?

The pervasive "willful ignorance" and "short memories" of the American public. Can it get any more revealing, and for that matter obviously worse!

Danielle, the following YouTube clip offers important historical context and insight into the administration's cruel and militarized anti-immigration actions.

This was the first I heard about Chris and the latest Freedom Flotilla ship. For the wee bit of good it might do, when I contacted my California senators to condemn their votes against blocking weapons sales to Israel (Padilla is much less funded by AIPAC than is Schiff, so Padilla's vote was particularly disappointing), I added that Chris Smalls was beaten and everyone on the ship was imprisoned by Israeli forces when they were trying to bring food that the US and other countries were failing to get to Palestinians.

You can find all the names of who voted which way at:

Just when I feel like I’m wandering in the desert, you have a consequential podcast episode. You are so right about the consultant class. The messaging must be direct to the people. EVERYONE I know feels unheard. This is the time for elected officials and those running for office to claim the courage of their convictions. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Even when progressive Democrats don’t win an election they earn RESPECT when speaking with honesty and determination. We will only limp along if the Democratic ruling class/party hides and doesn’t promote bold solutions. The Republicans at this point are lost and have sold their souls (I was once one of them and have MAGA family members). We as a party need to be creators and creators think outside the box.

And to Kamala, I say great, you reflected AND now get to work. Please DO run for office if, as you said Danielle, you’re ready for the REAL work of representing all the people, especially those who are TRULY wandering in the desert; no money, no prospects, no policy guardrails and no hope. I can say all this because I AM entitled. I don’t feel good about that nor should anyone who is. We need to show up. For starters I talk to strangers every day and people on the f’ing fence. We need to communicate. Join something, anything to prove to yourself you are remembering your DUTY as an American citizen. If you can support Danielle and independent media. Donate anywhere you can that shows you CARE, even with the smallest amount you are planting seeds. We are in big trouble, be part of the solution.
