They Want You Broken. Build Anyway.

Trump’s “Billionaire Bill” is a death sentence for the poor—but in the ruins of cruelty, we have a chance to rebuild something honest, human, and free.
29

What we are witnessing is not just policy—it’s spiritual warfare.

The regime now in power is not content with cutting Medicaid or giving billions in handouts to the ultra-rich. It wants something deeper: your surrender. Your despair. It wants to bury the idea that this country could ever be different. When Republicans cheer for Trump’s “Billionaire Bill”—a monstrous giveaway to donors that will kill Medicaid, starve children, and shutter nursing homes—they are not just celebrating cruelty. They are betting on your hopelessness.

But here’s the truth they hope you never realize: the very fact that they are fighting this hard to crush you means you are powerful.

The grief you feel watching millions be sacrificed for the greed of a few? That grief is sacred. It means your humanity is intact in a system that depends on numbing you to suffering. That pain is not weakness. It is proof that you are still alive in a culture engineered to deaden.

We were never meant to live like this. The systems we inherit today—economic, political, cultural—were designed by a ruling class of white, wealthy men who wanted freedom only for themselves. The American Dream was always built with caveats and exclusions. The Constitution did not imagine you free if you were poor, queer, Black, Indigenous, undocumented, or disabled. But that’s not a reason to give up. It’s a reason to fight for something better.

We are not obligated to preserve a dying empire. We are free to birth something new.

Rebellion Starts With the Truth

To build that future, we must first break the lies we were raised on:

  • That wealth equals virtue.

  • That safety comes from policing.

  • That your value is your productivity.

  • That suffering is natural and inequality inevitable.

These are not laws of the universe. They are tools of control. They are designed to convince you to accept less, to silence your anger, to internalize your oppression. But we do not have to accept a world built on someone else’s fear and entitlement. Our truth—the one they fear most—is that we are enough. That we are worthy of care. That we belong to each other, not to billionaires.

The Work Ahead

Yes, the challenge ahead is enormous. But we do not walk into it empty-handed. Inside the chaos, there is a quiet clarity. A knowing that this moment—this collapse—holds a possibility the old world could never offer.

To fight for justice now means more than protest. It means reimagining everything. It means building mutual aid. Growing food. Creating new models of care. Telling the truth, loudly and often. It means loving each other like it’s political—which it is.

This work is not about returning to “normal.” Normal was killing us. This work is about liberation—and it begins inside you. When you reject the lie that you are powerless, you become a threat to every system that profits from your silence.

So feel the grief. Then transform it. Let it move you to action, to vision, to creation.

Because they may own the Senate, the media, the corporations, and the courts.
But they will never own our imagination.
And that is where the revolution begins.
